We are thinking of putting in a butterfly garden in at our cottage but it is really shady, will we have any luck? What plants or tips does anyone have? Thanks!

Yes. There are some butterflies that like shady places, but they require woods. Butterflies like Wood Nymphs and Mourning Cloaks like shady areas. You would be limited.
