Someone told me that tomatoes get a disease from tobacco. The tobacco on the smoker's fingers is enough to for them to get this disease. Is it so?

Yes, it is. Tomatoes are extremely sensitive to tobacco. If you are a smoker, then wash your hands thoroughly before you touch your tomato plants.
